Weber State Football Picked To Win Big Sky In 2021 Preseason Polls

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Weber State Wildcats received the most votes in the Big Sky’s preseason polls and were picked to win the conference in the 2021 college football season.
The results of the Big Sky Conference’s media and coaches preseason polls were released on Monday, July 26.
Weber State was picked to win the Big Sky in the 2021 football season in both polls.

It’s the second time the Wildcats have been picked No. 1 in the preseason polls. Weber State was also picked to win the Big Sky prior to the 2020 campaign.
“It’s always an honor to be picked first,” said WSU head coach Jay Hill, the spring 2021 Big Sky Coach of the Year. “I think it has more to do with what the last four teams have done than this team. I never put a lot of stock in the preseason rankings because it will be decided on the field but it is an honor to get the respect.”

Weber State has won the Big Sky in each of the last four football seasons.
The Wildcats received seven first-place votes in the preseason coaches poll and 14 first-place votes in the preseason media poll.
The Montana Grizzlies received the No. 2 nod in both polls.
Weber State kicks off the 2021 season against the Utah Utes on September 2.
