Simone Biles Looks To Add To Olympic Legacy

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Olympian and star gymnast Simone Biles looks to add more recognition to her already outstanding legacy during Tokyo 2020.

“Even now, I don’t understand the full capacity of what I did at the Rio Olympic Games,” Biles said. “I think it won’t hit me til maybe I’m retired from the sport, which is crazy.”

During the 2016 Summer Games, Biles won more gold medals in gymnastics than any previous American women.

“It didn’t feel real,” Biles added. “We had trained so hard, but in that moment it kind of felt like a fairytale.”

“That caliber of gymnastics, it’s just amazing how much she’s accomplished,” said fellow gymnast Grace McCallum.

After the success, Biles took a break from the sport before returning to competition in 2018.

“To be completely honest, I was terrified to come back because I thought I hit the top of what I was capable of,” Biles said.

Since her return, Biles has found even more success and has even had tricks named after her.
