Former Utah Standout Timmy Allen Announces Commitment To Texas

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former Utah Utes forward Timmy Allen announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns’ men’s basketball program.
Allen revealed his new school via a post on social media on Tuesday, April 13.
The former Runnin’ Utes standout entered the NCAA Transfer Portal in March.
Allen decided to transfer from the University of Utah following Larry Krystkowiak’s departure from the Utes.

Allen left Salt Lake City after three seasons with Utah basketball.
He is moving to a Texas program that reached the NCAA Tournament this past season and recently hired Chris Beard as its head coach.
About Timmy Allen
The junior had a tremendous season for the Utes, posting averages of 17.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. He earned first team All-Pac-12 honors at the end of the season.

The Runninâ Utes have three players from this past season that are currently in the transfer portal, including Alfonso Plummer, Ian Martinez and Jordan Kellier.
