SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell attacked the Kings’ defense for a driving layup during Utah’s game against the Sacramento Kings.
The Jazz hosted the Kings at Vivint Arena on Saturday, April 10.
With 4:35 left in the opening quarter, Jazz forward Joe Ingles dished the ball off to Mitchell, who decisively attacked the Kings’ defense.
Mitchell ran down the lane and appeared to prepare for a powerful slam dunk before the Kings contested the fourth-year guard’s attack.
Instead of slamming the ball, Mitchell adjusted his shot and laid the ball off the glass and into the cylinder for two points.

The Jazz continued to respond to an early deficit and took a 34-31 advantage into the second quarter.
Mitchell ended the quarter with eight points on 2-8 field goals. He scored half of his total on 4-6 shooting from the free throw line. He also added one rebound in 10 minutes on the floor.
