SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah football running back Ty Jordan and offensive lineman Nick Ford earned Pac-12 Player of the Week honors.

The Utes knocked off Washington State, 45-28, erasing a 21-point halftime deficit and scored 38 unanswered points in the second half to end the season with a three-game winning streak.

For the third straight week, Ty Jordan was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. The freshman ran for over 100 yards in the third consecutive game. Jordan carried the ball 22 times for 154 yards and three touchdowns, while hauling in two receptions for 33 yards. The Mesquite, Texas native averaged seven yards per carry against Washington State.

In five games this season, Jordan racked up 597 yards and 6 touchdowns, while catching 11 passes for 126 yards.

Junior Nick Ford earned Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week honors after Utah’s win over the Cougars. Ford started at center and helped Utah’s offense rack up a season-high 528 yards of total offense, including 223 rushing yards and four rushing TD’s.

Ford started in all five games this season but in different positions. He played left tackle in the season opener against USC before filling in at center for the injured Orlando Umana.

Jordan was nominated for the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week, Devin Lloyd was nominated for Defensive Player of the Week and Mika Tafua was nominated for Defensive Lineman of the Week.

Former Brighton High School and current Stanford wide receiver Simi Fehoko earned Offensive Player of the Week in the conference after hauling in 16 receptions for 230 yards and three touchdowns in the Cardinal’s win over UCLA. Oregon safety Jamal Hill was named Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week after the Ducks’ win over USC in the title game.

Arizona State linebacker Will Shaffer was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week following the Sun Devils’ win over Oregon State. Ducks defensive end Kayvon Thibodeaux earned Defensive Lineman of the Week as well as Pac-12 Championship Game MVP.

It’s the fifth and sixth Pac-12 weekly awards that the Utes received this season. Kicker Jadon Redding was named Pac-12 Special Teams Player of the Week twice, Nick Ford earned his first Pac-12 Offensive Lineman of the Week award, while Jordan earned Freshman of the Week honors for the third straight week.
