Washington State Fumble Leads To Third Touchdown By Utah RB Ty Jordan

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A fourth-quarter fumble by Washington State’s Max Borghi led to the third rushing touchdown of the game by Utah running back Ty Jordan.
The Utes hosted the Cougars at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Saturday, December 19.
With 6:56 left in the game, Borghi was in the middle of a 13-yard run when Utah safety Vonte Davis lowered his helmet, make contact with the football, and forced a fumble for the Cougars’ first turnover of the game.
Clark Phillips III recovered the ball for Utah and returned it 11 yards to the Washington State 11-yard line.

On the following play, Jordan ran up the middle for an 11-yard touchdown and his third score of the second half.

The run gave Utah a 35-28 lead. It was the Utes’ first lead of the contest.
After the carry, Jordan had 19 carries for 151 yards and three touchdowns.
How Ty Jordan got into the end zone is beyond me.

The score was Utah’s fourth consecutive touchdown after Washington State held a 28-7 lead at halftime.
