UHSAA Board Of Trustees Approves High School Realignment For 2021-23

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah High School Activities Association approved a realignment of classifications and regions beginning in 2021 and running through 2023.
On Thursday, December 17. UHSAA said that it “met and adopted” the new classifications and regions.
The UHSAA’s Board of Trustees first voted on the new structure on Wednesday, December 9.

On December 16, USHAA held a public hearing to receive feedback and make changes to the proposed structure. The new regions and realignment were then finalized.

The new regions were adopted by the Board of Trustees on December 17, to allow “time for schools and regions to organize and schedule for the two-year alignment period.”
Realignment for athletic contests will go into effect in the fall of 2021.
