Utah Men’s Basketball Adds Serbian Guard Lazar Stefanović

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah men’s basketball head coach Larry Krystkowiak announced the signing of Serbian guard Lazar Stefanović to his program’s roster for the upcoming 2020-21 season.
Krystkowiak announced the 6-6 guard’s addition to the Utes’ roster on Wednesday, November 11.
“We’re excited to have Lazar join us next season,” Krystkowiak said in a statement. “Lazar is a tremendous player with high-character and an elite student so it’s a great fit both for him and our program. His experience playing in some of the top leagues in Europe and FIBA will be a tremendous boost and brings maturity to both ends of the floor.”

Stefanović will arrive in Salt Lake City with experience as an invitee to the Basketball Without Borders camp in 2020 as well as playing in FIBA.
Two years ago, Stefanović averaged 19.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists with the Partizan U16 squad.
Last season, the Serbian guard played in 26 games with Mladost and averaged 7.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists.
In late October, the Pac-12 Conference announced a couple of contest for the Utes including a game against Washington on December 3.
The majority of Utah basketball’s schedule for the upcoming season has yet to be announced.
