Utah State Wide Receiver Justin McGriff Snags First Career Touchdown Against Nevada

RENO, Nevada – Utah State wide receiver Justin McGriff pulled down the first touchdown catch of his collegiate career during the Aggies game against the Nevada Wolf Pack.
Nevada hosted Utah State at Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nevada on Thursday, November 5.
With 5:32 left in the first quarter of action, USU quarterback Jason Shelley found McGriff for a four-yard touchdown. The score was the first of McGriff’s young career with the Aggies.

McGriff’s touchdown reception and an extra point by Connor Coles gave the Aggies a 9-0 lead.

The sophomore receiver entered the game with 8 catches for 56 yards in two games.
Utah State scored its first points of the game on a safety by AJ Vongphachanh.
Following the touchdown pass, Shelley was 5/7 for 23 yards and a touchdown. He added four carries for 41 yards.

The Aggies arrived in Western Nevada with an 0-2 record and a desire to pick up their first win of the 2020 season.
