AJ Vongphachanh Sacks Nevada QB For Safety, Early Utah State Lead

RENO, Nevada – Utah State linebacker AJ Vongphachanh sacked Nevada quarterback Carson Strong to give the Aggies an early lead over the Wolf Pack.
Nevada hosted Utah State at Mackay Stadium in Reno, Nevada on Thursday, November 5.
On the first play of the second offensive possession by the Wolf Pack, Vongphachanh sacked Strong in the end zone for a safety. The play resulted in two points for the Aggies and a turnover by Nevada.

Vongphachanh gave USU a 2-0 lead with 11:12 left in the opening quarter of action.

Through two games this season, Vongphachanh has recorded seven total tackles, four solo tackles, one tackle for loss, and one sack.
The Aggies arrived in Western Nevada with an 0-2 record and a desire to pick up their first win of the 2020 season.
