ENGLEWOOD, Colo. – The Denver Broncos have claimed former Utah offensive tackle Darrin Paulo off of waivers.
Paulo signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent but was waived by the organization on August 29.
Denver was awarded Paulo through the waiver process, creating competition at the tackle positions on the offensive line. Former Utah standout Garett Bolles is currently the starting left tackle for the Broncos and has been since his rookie season in 2017.

At Utah, Paulo was a four-year starter after appearing in 53 games, including 41 starts. He earned first team All-Pac-12 honors as a senior in 2019. While in college, he started at left and right tackle. He started 26 games on the right side during his sophomore and junior seasons while moving to left tackle as a senior.
The Broncos will have to cut their roster down to 53 players by September 5. They are scheduled to open the season on Monday Night Football, September 14 at home against the Tennessee Titans.
