Finau’s front nine was mild compared to his back. A bogey on the par 4 third was the only action that took place through the first nine holes.
His back nine began in perfect fashion with back-to-back birdies on holes 10 and 11. However, as the round went on Finau would ultimately give those birdies away with bogeys on 14 and 17.
This week’s event marks the second of three weeks for the FedEx Cup Playoffs. The top 70 golfers in the FedEx Standings are competing to qualify for the Tour Championship next week in which the top 30 players in the standings are invited.
Due to the shortened field, there is no cut at this week’s BMW Championship.
