SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Former BYU alumni Patrick Fishburn currently sits 56th on the Korn Ferry Tour money list, and with just seven events left on the 2020 calendar Fishburn must climb to 25th on the standings if he wants to receive his PGA Tour card for next season.
Fishburn has competed in 10 events this year on the Korn Ferry Tour accumulating $50,838, 31 spots outside of the top 25.
“I’m hitting them ok but need to get it going,” Fishburn said.
Utah Open leader @peter_kuest has made the turn at Riverside Country Club at 4-under and is now (-21) with an 8-stroke lead over amateur Hayden Christensen.

Big Events Upcoming
However, some of the most prized Korn Ferry Tour events still remain with a lot of money up for grabs.
This week the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship in Columbus, Ohio has a purse of 1 million dollars while the following week in Newburgh, Indianapolis the Korn Ferry Tour Championship also has a 1 million dollar purse attached to its name.
For Fishburn to make a late run at receiving his PGA Tour card, the next two weeks will be vital.
Last week Fishburn finished in a tie for 62 at the Albertsons Boise Open with a seven-under-par final score, he was 15 shots off the eventual champion Stephen Jaeger who tallied 22-under-par through four rounds.
