SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Tony Finau has continued his impressive form at the Memorial Tournament, backing up a six-under-par first round, with a three-under-round second round. Finau is tied for the lead at nine-under-par with fellow American Ryan Palmer.
Finau began day two on the 10th tee and quickly found himself in danger of slipping away from the top of the leaderboard. He bogeyed his first and third hole. However, despite the rough start, Finau rebounded with five birdies over the remaining 15 holes which included three birdies in the final five holes.

Within Finau’s second-round group included Spaniard Jon Rahm, who finished the day with a five-under-par performance to sit just one shot behind the leaders entering the weekend.
Unfortunately, the news was not as bright for Tiger Woods who is playing in his first competitive golf tournament for the first time in five months. Woods finished the second round with a combined score of three-over-par and is flirting with missing the cut. The cut is expected to be either +3 or +4.
