SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson said there is only one reason Utah is going to Disney World to play in the NBA’s proposed restart.

Currently, the National Basketball Players Association and the league are negotiating the details of a plan to have 22 teams play eight regular season games before the NBA Playoffs. The regular season and postseason contests would take place at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida beginning on July 30.

Clarkson posted a photo of himself and Jazz teammate Donovan Mitchell working out to prepare for the completion of the 2019-20 season.

“Verified it will be only one reasons we going to disney for…one goal, one reason……” Clarkson posted with an emoji of a trophy.

While Clarkson has never been a member of an NBA championship roster, the Jazzman has come close to a ring in his career.

Prior to becoming a member of the Jazz in December 2019, Clarkson played for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In 2018, he helped the Cavs reach the NBA Finals, where they were defeated in four games by the Golden State Warriors.

The Jazz reached the NBA Finals in back-to-back seasons during the late 1990s but have never won the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

Jazz Players Working Out

Clarkson and Mitchell are currently working out at Sports Academy in Southern California. Along with the two Jazz guards, fellow Utah players Royce O’Neale, Rayjon Tucker, and Miye Oni were also at the facility preparing for the NBA’s return.

By June 22, all Jazz players must travel to Salt Lake City. Then, players across the NBA will be subjected to COVID-19 tests every other day as they prepare to begin mandatory individual workouts. Group workouts at the team’s practice facility remain prohibited. Players who do not plan to travel to Orlando must inform their teams by June 24.

Individual workouts will begin on July 1. Then, the 22 remaining NBA teams will travel to Orlando to begin training camp starting July 7.
