SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A handful of Utah Jazz players are back together on the basketball court. Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale, Jordan Clarkson, Rayjon Tucker and Miye Oni were all spotted at the Sports Academy in California. Several videos of the Jazz teammates were shared on Instagram as they prepare for the NBA’s return.
The Instagram page Overtime shared several highlights of the Jazz players. The video shows Mitchell wearing his new D.O.N. Issue #2 signature shoes.
By June 22, all Jazz players must travel to Salt Lake City. Then, players across the NBA will be subjected to COVID-19 tests every other day as they prepare to begin mandatory individual workouts. Group workouts at the team’s practice facility remain prohibited. Players who do not plan to travel to Orlando must inform their teams by June 24.
Individual workouts will begin on July 1. Then, the 22 remaining NBA teams will travel to Orlando to begin training camp starting July 7.
The Instagram page Dreamers shared more videos of the Jazz players in attendance at the training facility.
Highlights from the video shared show several fancy dribbling moves from Mitchell. Tucker flashes his impressive athleticism with a series of dunks. While Oni, Clarkson, and O’Neale display their three-point shooting prowess.
The Jazz will be without forward Bojan Bogdanovic. The Croatian forward had season-ending wrist surgery in May. In total, the Jazz can bring 17 players to Orlando to finish the season. The team can replace Bogdanovic with an eligible free-agent before traveling to The Walt Disney World Resorts.
