Basketball Star LeBron James Reveals New ‘Space Jam’ Movie Title, Logo

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James unveiled the title and logo and for the new “Space Jam” basketball movie for which he is the lead actor.
James wore a hat that revealed the sequel to the 1996 movie that starred Michael Jordan will be titled, “Space Jam: A New Legacy.”
Like the original “Space Jam”, the second movie of the series will feature one of the greatest basketball players and the Looney Tunes characters.
Space Jam: A New Legacy Cast
According to reports, former Weber State and current Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is expected to have a role in the film.
Lillard is expected to join James, Lakers big man Anthony Davis, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson, and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Chris Paul.
The WNBA will be represented by Diana Taurasi, Nneka, and Chiney Ogwumike, according to reports.
“Space Jam: A New Legacy” is scheduled to be released on July 16, 2021.

Chicago Bulls star guard Michael Jordan and the Tune Squad teamed up against the Monstars. Space Jam is an entertaining mix of animation and reality based on the early part of Jordan’s career up to his first retirement. Without spoiling too much, a group of aliens come to earth and steal the talents of Jordan as well as fellow NBA players Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson, and Muggsy Bogues. Jordan teams up with Bugs Bunny and Co. to take on the alien Monstars.
The film had a budget of $80 million and grossed $230.4 million at the box office.
