KSL Sports Bracket Of Movies: #15 Cool Runnings vs. #18 Space Jam

The 15^th overall seed, Cool Runnings, is loosely based on the true story of the Jamaican national bobsled’s debut performance at the Olympic Winter Games. The legendary John Candy stars as the coach of the rag-tag group of Jamaican sprinters who face long odds to earn respectability at the Games. The movie is famous for the jingle, “Jamaica, we have a bobsled team!”

The 18-seed, Space Jam, is one of the most popular sports movies of all time. The film features both live action and animation techniques as basketball superstar Michael Jordan is thrust into playing alongside Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Tune Squad in an epic ball game for the future of the cartoon universe. The movie was a hit both at the box office and in popular culture since. It has been reported that LeBron James will star in an upcoming sequel.
