SALT LAKE CITY – Fremont High School basketball star guard Dallin Hall has announced his decision to commit to Mark Pope and the BYU hoops program.

Along with BYU, Hall received offers from Utah and Oregon State out of the Pac-12 Conference, Utah State, Saint Mary’s, Utah Valley, Weber State, and others. The fourth commitment in BYU’s class of 2020, Hall is the third in-state prospect to pledge to the Cougars joining SLCC’s Spencer Johnson and Wasatch Academy’s Richie Saunders.

During Fremont’s run to the state championship last month, Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell gave praise to Hall for his play. Mitchell called the future BYU player a “Hooper! Hall had the play of the tournament in the state championship game with a throwdown that was an exclamation mark on the Silverwolves title.

In his senior season at Fremont, Hall averaged 22.9 points, 6.8 assists, 7.8 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game.

During the early signing period, BYU head coach Mark Pope was hoping that there would be another signee and that was believed to be Hall. Hall waited till now to commit and will sign with the Cougars when the regular signing period opens on April 15th.

Prior to enrolling at BYU, Hall plans to serve a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
