Jerrick Harding Makes History In Weber State’s Win Over Southern Utah

CEDAR CITY, Utah – Jerrick Harding made history in Weber State’s victory over the Southern Utah Thunderbirds when he moved into second place on the Wildcats’ all-time scoring list.
Harding and the Wildcats defeated the Thunderbirds 75-65 at the America First Event Center on Thursday, January 30.
The Weber State guard scored 27 points on his way to passing Bruce Collins for the No. 2 spot in Wildcats’ scoring history.

Harding has scored 2,042 points during the 112 games of his Wildcats career. He now sits 37 points behind Weber State’s all-time leading scorer Jeremy Senglin.
Senglin finished his Weber State career after the 2016-17 season. He scored 2,078 points in a Wildcat uniform.

Harding scored his 27 points on 9-16 field goals and 2-5 from three. He added 6 rebounds and 3 assists in 36 minutes.

Wildcat guard Cody John added 22 points on 7-9 from the field. John added 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and a steal in 33 minutes of play.

Weber State shot 56.0 percent overall and 35.7 percent from behind the arc.
Southern Utah shot 35.7 percent on field goals and 24.0 percent from downtown.
The Thunderbirds were led by Andre Adams’ 17 points on 8-11 shooting.

With the loss, Southern Utah fell to 12-8 on the season and 5-4 in the Big Sky Conference.
The T-Birds are back on the court when they host the Idaho State Bengals on Saturday, February 1 at 7 p.m. (MDT). Southern Utah defeated ISU 71-55 on January 9.
Weber State improved to 8-13 overall and 4-6 in conference games.
The Wildcats return to action when they travel to play Northern Colorado on Saturday, February 1 at 7 p.m. (MDT). Northern Colorado beat Weber State 65-64 on January 9.
