Donovan Mitchell’s Mother Writes Letter Congratulating Him On NBA All-Star Honor

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Donovan Mitchell’s mother, Nicole, wrote the Utah Jazz guard a letter congratulating him on being named a 2020 NBA All-Star.
Mitchell was selected as an NBA All-Star for the first time in his career on Thursday, January 30.
“If you are reading this letter, it’s because you’re now an all-star,” said Mitchell as he read his mother’s letter out loud after learning of his NBA All-Star selection. “We’re so proud of you. I can’t explain the joy that Jordan (Mitchell’s sister) and I have for you. You’re an amazing man who deserves this and more.”

The third-year Jazz guard was voted as an NBA All-Star reserve by coaches from the Western Conference.
Spida’s Season
He currently ranks No. 13 among NBA players in scoring.
Through 46 games this season, Mitchell is averaging 25.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 1.2 steals.
Mitchell helped lead the Jazz to a 32-15 record this season.
All-Star Weekend
The Jazz guard along with teammate Rudy Gobert will represent Utah in the 2020 All-Star Game in Chicago.

The NBA All-Star Weekend runs from February 14-16.
Mitchell and Gobert will play in the All-Star Game on Sunday, February 16 at 6 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on TNT.

Utah is in action against the Denver Nuggets on Thursday, January 30. The Jazz and Nuggets are scheduled to tip-off at 8:30 p.m. (MDT). The game will broadcast on TNT and 97.5 FM.
