Rodriguez’s Fumble Recovery For TD Gives Weber State 2nd Half Lead

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State defensive end Adam Rodriguez recovered a Kennesaw State fumble and returned the ball for a Wildcat touchdown. The score gave Weber State its first lead of the game.
Rodriguez’s scoop-n-score gave third seed Weber State a 19-17 advantage in the second half of the game between the Owls and Wildcats on Saturday, December 7.
After Kennesaw State fumbled a lateral, Rodriquez picked up the football and ran it back 24 yards to give the Wildcats their first lead with 13:32 left in the third quarter.

The defensive end’s score was the Wildcats’ second touchdown of the FCS playoff game.

Entering the second round FCS playoff game against the Owls, Rodriguez had recorded 39 total tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss, 5.5 sacks, 2 quarterback hits, and 4 pass breakups on the season.
He was recognized for his performance this season with Second-Team All-Big Sky honors.
