Jazz Sign Former BYU Guard/Forward Kyle Collinsworth

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz have signed former BYU player Kyle Collinsworth.
The Jazz announced the signing on Saturday, October 12.
Utah’s move comes at a day after their G League franchise, the Salt Lake City Stars, acquired the rights to Collinsworth in a trade with the Toronto Raptors’ G League team, Raptors 905.

The Jazz waived guard Trevon Bluiett in a related move.
The BYU product joins a Jazz franchise that is three games into the NBA preseason. He joins a roster that currently has eight guards and 10 forwards.
Collinsworth is a versatile player that can play multiple positions.
The former 905 player has previous experience in both the NBA and the G League. He played in 32 games, including two starts for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2017-18 season.
The former BYU guard/forward averaged 3.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 0.5 steals in 15.0 minutes per game for the Mavs.
Collinsworth spent the 2018-19 season with Raptors 905 and started 28 games for the organization. He posted 10.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 1.8 steals in 31.1 minutes.
He played college ball for the Cougars in 2010-11 and 2013-16. While playing in Provo, Collinsworth recorded an NCAA record, 12 triple-doubles. He was named the West Coast Conference Player of the Year after the 2015-16 season.
