SANDY, Utah – Just minutes after FC Dallas scored to make it 3-1, Real Salt Lake responded with a goal by Marcelo Silva in the 66th minute.
FC Dallas’ Paxton Pomykal had just scored his second goal of the game in the 64th minute to completely silence the crowd at Rio Tinto Stadium by giving the visitors a two-goal lead.
Silva, however, brought the energy back into the stadium with a strong header goal off a corner kick service by Albert Rusnak.

The goal was the first career MLS goal for Silva.
All game, RSL had been fighting an uphill battle against FC Dallas. The visitors scored within the first minute of the game. Minutes later, RSL’s star striker Damir Kreilach was given a red card, forcing the home team to play the majority of the game down a man.
Unfortunately for RSL, FC Dallas quickly took the air out of the stadium again with a goal by Jesus Ferreira in the 69th minute.
