Real Salt Lake President Previews Playoff Game 2 Against Houston

SALT LAKE CITY – Real Salt Lake president John Kimball joined KSL Sports Zone to preview the team’s second playoff game against Houston Dynamo FC.
RSL will host Houston for the second of a best-of-three opening-round series on Monday, November 6.
Hours before kickoff, Kimball previewed the matchup with Hans Olsen and Scott Garrard of KSL Sports Zone’s Hans & Scotty G.

“It’s a huge game for us. We’ve got to win this one tonight to keep it rolling,” Kimball said. “Houston is a tough team to play, a lot of veterans. We’ve got a lot of really awesome young talent and tonight, in front of a sold-out crowd, we’re going to show them what Utah’s all about.”

Kimball said that he likes the best-of-three format, especially for Real Salt Lake this season.
The RSL president detailed the impact that injuries had on the club during the Game 1 loss to the Dynamo. Real Salt Lake Chicho Arango and Justen Glad will return for the contest in Sandy.
“Our trajectory is just going through the roof. So it’s a great time to come out and watch an amazing game tonight and you will not regret that,” Kimball shared. “With that win tonight and going home and then going down to Houston on Friday, we’re super stoked about our potential and opportunity.”
Kimball added that Real Salt Lake needs to be focused, defend well, and not concede any early goals to Houston.
“I think we’re gonna kick the crap out of them,” Kimball predicted. “Yeah, it’s go time.”
Real Salt Lake’s playoff game against Houston is set to start at 7 p.m. (MDT). The game will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass via Apple TV and KSL Sports Zone.
