Beasley, 26, played for the Jazz during the first half of the 2022-23 season. Utah traded the guard to the Los Angeles Lakers prior to the trade deadline.
During his lone season with the Jazz, the Florida State product averaged 13.4 points per contest on 39.6 percent shooting, including 35.9 on three-pointers. Beasley also recorded 3.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 steals in 26.8 minutes per game with the Jazz. He played in 55 games for Utah, including 13 starts.
After joining the Lakers, Beasley saw his production and time on the floor dip. During 26 games with Los Angeles, the guard averaged 11.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.2 assists, and 0.8 steals in 23.9 minutes per game.
Since he entered the NBA in 2016, Beasley has averaged 10.8 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting, including 37.8 percent from beyond the arc.
Beasley was originally drafted by the Denver Nuggets with the No. 19 overall pick in 2016. He’s played for the Nuggets, Minnesota Timberwolves, Jazz, and Lakers.
In June, the Lakers declined the team option on Beasley’s contract, making him an unrestricted free agent.
