Report: Former Jazzman Joe Ingles To Sign With Orlando Magic

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Joe Ingles is expected to sign with the Orlando Magic, according to TNT and Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes.
The NBA insider reported Ingles’ new deal less than an hour after free agency began on Friday, June 30.
“Free agent forward Joe Ingles is expected to reach an agreement with the Orlando Magic, league sources tell,” Haynes tweeted.
Ingles will head to Orlando after playing one season in Milwaukee.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Ingles’ deal with the Magic will be worth $22 million over two seasons.

Before joining the Bucks last offseason, Ingles spent the first eight seasons of his NBA career as a member of the Jazz.
During his time in Utah, Ingles averaged 8.6 points per game on 44.9 percent shooting, including 40.8 percent on three-pointers. He also recorded 3.2 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 25.7 minutes per contest.
In his final year with the Jazz, Ingles suffered a season-ending knee injury and the forward was traded to the Portland Trail Blazers ahead of the league’s trade deadline. Ingles was unable to play for the Blazers and chose to sign with the Bucks in the summer of 2022.
Ingles missed the beginning portion of the 2022-23 season because of the injury and was limited to 46 games as a member of the Bucks after returning to the court.

The former Jazzman helped the Bucks to a 58-24 record. Milwaukee was eliminated in the first round of the NBA Playoffs in five games by the Miami Heat.
During his lone year in Milwaukee, the Adelaide, Australia native averaged 6.9 points per game. He shot 43.5 percent overall and 40.9 percent from beyond the arc. Ingles also had averages of 2.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.1 blocks in 22.7 minutes per game.
Last season, the Magic had a 34-48 record.
