Final AP Poll Released For Women’s Basketball Before Selection Sunday
SALT LAKE CITY –Β The final AP Top 25 Poll has been released for women’s basketball ahead of this weekend’s Selection Sunday show.
The Utah women’s basketball team remains in the Top 10, coming in at No. 8 after a loss to eventual Pac-12 Tournament winners, Washington State last Thursday.
The Utes have had a magical season so far being ranked as high as No. 3 in the country and sitting with a 25-4 record. They earned a piece of their first Pac-12 Title two weeks ago with a win over No. 3 Stanford and are gearing up to play host for the first two rounds of the upcoming NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.

“Unwavering Belief,” Utah Women’s Basketball Style
“Unwavering Belief” may have started with Utah football earlier in their 2022 season, but Utah women’s basketball has carried the theme through 2023.
Head coach Lynne Roberts joined DJ and PK last week before the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament to talk about her team’s impressive 2023 run and how you almost have to have a little bit of “crazy” in you to accomplish big goals.
βI think to do things that have never been done, you have to be a little crazy,β Roberts said. βTo do things that people say you canβt do, youβve got to have a little bit of a chip on your shoulder. This is the third program Iβve taken over and weβve done things that have never been done at those programs too. Itβs just kind of how I am. When you have a vision and a dream, youβve got to believe in it so strongly because itβs hard.β
