SALT LAKE CITY – Former Bingham Miners and current Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz reportedly received a fine from the NFL for his participation in a touchdown celebration on Thanksgiving Day.
The Cowboys hosted the Giants at AT&T Stadium on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 24.
Schultz led Dallas to a 28-20 victory behind a two-touchdown performance. After one of Dallas’ touchdowns, Schultz and some of his Cowboy teammates celebrated by jumping into a giant Salvation Army donation bucket and simulating a “Whack-A-Mole” game.
The NFL has since levied fines for the celebration, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
“Pay up, Dak Prescott: The NFL fined #Cowboys tight ends Dalton Schultz ($13,261), Jake Ferguson ($4,895), Peyton Hendershot ($3,944) and Sean McKeon ($4,994) for their Whack-A-Mole celebration in the Salvation Army bucket,” the NFL insider tweeted. “Prescott said teammates would cover any fines.”
After Pelissero’s report, the former Bingham High star added a simple comment.
“Boooo,” Schultz posted on Twitter.
