SALT LAKE CITY – Former Bingham High School and current Dallas Cowboys tight end Dalton Schultz led his team to a victory over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day 2022.

The Cowboys hosted the Giants at AT&T Stadium on Thursday, November 24.

With a multi-touchdown performance, Schultz led Dallas to a 28-20 victory over its divisional rival, New York.

Schultz’s scores came on back-to-back possession during the third quarter of action. Midway through the quarter, Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott hit the former Bingham star for 15 yards and six points. Schultz’s first touchdown catch gave Dallas a 14-13 lead.

On Dallas’ next possession, Prescott and Schultz connected for a six-yard scoring strike. Schultz’s second touchdown reception put the Cowboys ahead, 21-13.

Dallas held on for a 28-20 victory.

Schultz finished the contest with four catches for 31 yards and two touchdowns.

With the win, the Cowboys improved their record to 8-3, including 5-1 at home.

Dallas’ next game is at home for Sunday Night Football against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, December 4 at 6:20 p.m. (MDT) on KSL 5 TV.

About Dalton Schultz

Following his high school career at Bingham, Schultz played for the Stanford Cardinal.

After his time at Stanford, the Cowboys selected Schultz during the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Schultz saw little playing time during his first two seasons in the league. In 2020, he caught the first touchdown of his NFL career and finished the year with four scores.

Last season, Schultz had a breakout year for Dallas. He helped the Cowboys reach the playoffs and ended the year with 78 catches for 808 yards and eight touchdowns.

Before Week 12, Schultz had totaled 183 catches for 1,824 yards and 13 touchdowns during his five seasons in the NFL.
