Jaguars LB Devin Lloyd Stops Red Zone Drive By Chiefs With Big Turnover

SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Utes and current Jacksonville Jaguars Devin Lloyd halted a red zone possession by the Kansas City Chiefs with a big fumble recovery.
The Chiefs hosted the Jaguars at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday, November 13.
With 9:04 left in the opening quarter, Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco ran up the middle before coughing up the football.
Lloyd scooped up the loose ball and returned the pigskin 17 yards to the Jacksonville 24-yard line.

At the time of Lloyd’s recovery, the game was scoreless.
It was Lloyd’s second consecutive game with a fumble recovery. In Week 9, the former Utah sealed Jacksonville’s victory over the Las Vegas Raiders with a fumble recovery.
During the first nine games of his rookie season, Lloyd recorded 69 total tackles, 34 solo tackles, one fumble recovery, two interceptions, and seven pass breakups.

The Jaguars entered Week 10 with a 3-6 record this season. Kansas City came into the matchup with a 6-2 record.

About Devin Lloyd
Lloyd was selected by the Jaguars with the No. 27 overall pick during the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Prior to his time in the NFL, the Chula Vista, California native played at Utah from 2018-21.
As a senior in 2021, Lloyd recorded 111 total tackles, 66 solo tackles, eight sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, four interceptions, six pass breakups, and two touchdowns.
He helped the Utes win their first Pac-12 title and earn a Rose Bowl Game bid for the first time in program history.
During his Utah career, Lloyd had 256 total tackles, 150 solo tackles, 16.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, and three touchdowns.
