GAINESVILLE- Utah’s star linebacker from last season, Devin Lloyd is now making noise for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL. That doesn’t mean he isn’t still invested in the outcome of Utah’s game against Florida on Saturday. Lloyd, with the help of the Jaguars posted a video with a game prediction in favor of the Utes, 28-21.
Lloyd says he expects a great game between the two schools with points being racked up, but feels like Utah’s offense will be the ultimate difference maker.

Go Utes
Lloyd was taken in the 27th overall in the first round of the NFL Draft this past spring. Last year Lloyd was a big part of the Utes’ success in reaching their first-ever Pac-12 Championship and Rose Bowl. His leadership carried a lot of weight in the face of tragedy after teammates Ty Jordan and Aaron Lowe were shockingly killed just nine months apart. Jordan and Lowe were high school best friends and made a huge impact for the Utes because of their constantly positive attitudes.
Lloyd himself was a great story for Utah aside from leading his team through heartache, going from a two-star, unknown prospect to a guy everyone at the next level wanted to have. Growing up in a military family was partially responsible for Lloyd’s exponential growth as a football player, but he also just had that “it” factor that is hard to place.
Since becoming a Jaguar this spring, Lloyd has become a big part of the Jacksonville community, fully embracing his role on the team despite being a rookie. Last week in Atlanta, Jaguars fans got a taste of what Lloyd can do on the field and he didn’t disappoint. He had five total tackles, three solo and two assisted.
With the Jaguars having a break this weekend it is expected that Lloyd will be present for Utah’s big game against Florida this weekend against Florida in Gainesville.
