SALT LAKE CITY – The Utah Little League team from Santa Clara that played in the Little League World Series captured the hearts of everyone in the state. Especially Easton Oliverson.
The 12-year-old pitcher and outfielder for the Snow Canyon All-Stars suffered a severe head injury days before the team’s first game in Williamsport. Ever since that day, the state has rallied behind “Tank.”
The latest example of those efforts to get behind Tank and his recovery was from the BYU football team.

On Monday, the @MiraclesForTank Instagram page provided an update on Oliverson and within the post, they mentioned that BYU football sent a care package to Tank. BYU is Tank’s favorite football team.
The care package included a signed football jersey by head coach Kalani Sitake with Tank’s last name on the back nameplate. BYU also sent a football signed by the team along with lanyards, socks, and other gear from the program.

Monday’s update on Tank’s health status noted that Oliverson had “many amazing moments of progress” that included Easton being able to nearly walk the entire hospital floor “with little to no help.”
The post also stated that Oliverson will not be transferred to Salt Lake City on Tuesday. “His doctor in [Pennsylvania] feels like he is ready to get his skull cap but back in! This is going to take place on Friday,” per the Miracles For Tank Instagram.
