PROVO, Utah – BYU football coach Kalani Sitake saw his family grow by one this summer.
Sitake’s wife, Timberly, gave birth to Sylvia Jo Lata on July 17. The Sitake’s now have four children together.
Timberly, who has been married to Kalani for 20 years, shared a picture of the seventh-year head coach with Sylvia.

In the picture, two-week-old Sylvia has a little smile while her father cuddles with her. Many of the responses on Instagram couldn’t get enough of the adorable photo.
In January, the Sitake’s announced that Timberly was pregnant with Sylvia. Timberly wrote a caption that read, “Plot twist.” Before Sylvia’s arrival, their youngest was Kelaokalani, a.k.a. “KK,” who is 12 years old. The couple’s two oldest children are Skye and Sadie.
“I’m really excited. After the initial shock, my wife and I were really fired up. We’re so excited to have another child,” said Kalani Sitake in February. “You know, there’s an age gap from the youngest. It will be 12 years, but anything to help me be young again. But more than anything, I really love being a father. So, I’m looking forward to all of the tough times. The good times will overshadow it.”
Kalani is now gearing up to begin another season of BYU football. This year will be the program’s final schedule as an FBS Independent before moving into the Big 12 Conference in 2023. BYU opens the 2022 season on the road against the USF Bulls in Tampa, Florida, on Saturday, September 3.
