SALT LAKE CITY – The Weber State Wildcats and Southern Utah Thunderbirds announced a future six-game football series to continue the Beehive Bowl matchup.

The programs announced the series on Thursday, June 16.

Weber State and SUU announced six football contests will be played between the Wildcats and Thunderbirds from 2026-31.

The two in-state rivals have played each other as members of the Big Sky Conference in every season since 2012. Southern Utah is leaving for the Western Athletic Conference on July 1.

Due to SUU’s departure for the WAC and Weber State remaining in the Big Sky, the Thunderbirds and Wildcats won’t play each other for the next four seasons.
