SALT LAKE CITY – Filipino Dottie Ardina has claimed the Copper Rock Championship following a final round of seven-under-par to conclude the tournament at five-under-par. She won by two shots.
Dottie’s bogey-free day began with a birdie on the opening hole, followed by birdies on holes four, seven, and eight as she made the turn at four-under on the day. Then, three closing nine birdies, including her last on the 18th hole, solidified her victory in the second year of the tournament’s existence.
With the win, Dottie took home the grand prize of $30,000.
In 2022, Dottie had only competed in one previous tournament on the Epson Tour. She managed a T64 in the Lotte Championship on April 13.

The overnight leader had five shots on Dottie to start the day, not that it mattered in the end. Emma Broze led with 18 holes left but failed to capitalize on the final day of the tournament as she shot a six-over-par round to conclude in a tie for seventh.
The top six golfers all hailed from overseas. Spaniard Marta Sanz Barrio and Laetitia Beck from Israel were tied in second place at three-under-par. Jaravee Boonchant of Thailand, Anita Uwadia of England, and New Zealander Amelia Garvey shared fourth place at two-under-par.

Becca Huffer, Sierra Brooks, and Kathleen Scavo were the top Americans as they finished in a share of seventh at even par.
The two golfers with local ties in Kendra Dalton and Haley Sturgeon both failed to make the eight-over-par cut line. Dalton battled throughout the second round while Sturgeon’s issues occurred during the opening round.
