SALT LAKE CITY – Tony Finau has found the water on the 12th hole at The Masters, once again.
Previously, Finau found the water on the difficult par 3 12th hole that only stretches 155 yards in 2019 when his final round started to unravel following another tee shot that found Rae’s Creek.

Today, during the opening round of the 2022 Masters, Finau hit a wedge into the embankment with the ball subsequently trickling into the creek. Finau was forced to take a drop from the drop area where he hit his third shot to within two feet allowing Finau to comfortably tap in for bogey.
It was the first bogey of Finau’s opening round. Earlier in the day, Finau made double-bogey on the par 3 4th hole after nearly hitting his ball out of bounds off the tee box.
Currently, Finau sits at one-over-par with six holes remaining. He is five shots off the pace as the Australian Cameron Smith leads the field at four-under-par.
