Clarkson Double-Clutches, Hits Buzzer-Beating Three During Jazz/Thunder Game

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz guard Jordan Clarkson double-clutched before hitting a buzzer-beating three-pointer during Utah’s against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder hosted the Jazz at Paycom Center on Sunday, March 6.
With 5:25 left in the second quarter, Donovan Mitchell inbounded the ball to Clarkson with less than two seconds remaining on the 24-second shot clock.
Clarkson jumped in the air from beyond the arc, double-clutched, and released a shot before the buzzer went off.
The three-pointer sailed through the cylinder to give Utah a 49-30 lead.

At halftime, the Jazz owned a 61-45 advantage.
Clarkson had six points on 2-9 shooting, including 2-4 from downtown. He added one rebound and an assist during his first 12 minutes on the hardwood.

This season, Clarkson is averaging 15.4 points per game on 40.8 percent shooting, including 31.6 percent from distance.
Jazz vs. Thunder
The Thunder had lost six out seven heading into the All-Star break, and are 2-3 since the weeklong hiatus including a blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
The Jazz can guarantee themselves a winning record on their current road trip with a win in Oklahoma City before traveling to face the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night.
The Thunder have been playing shorthanded in their last few outings. Lu Dort, Kenrich Williams, and star rookie Josh Giddey have played one combined game since the All-Star break.
