Jazz Forward Royce O’Neale Hits Trio Of Early Threes Against Thunder

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Royce O’Neale connected on multiple three-pointers during a strong start in Utah’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder hosted the Jazz at Paycom Center on Sunday, March 6.
During his first seven minutes of action, O’Neale played excellent on both sides of the ball. The Baylor product opened the contest with nine points on 3-4 shooting, including a perfect 3-3 from beyond the arc.
O’Neale’s first triple came on a straightaway shot from 27-feet out. The shot gave the Jazz a 12-9 lead with 7:43 remaining in the quarter.

Less than a minute later, the forward drained another three.
His third three-pointer came from 26-feet away from the hoop and stretched Utah’s lead to 18-11 with 6:31 to go.
O’Neale added two rebounds, one assist, and a block during the first minutes of the opening quarter. He recorded a plus-12 rating during his time on the court.

This season, O’Neale is averaging 7.7 points per game on 50.2 percent shooting, including 41.6 percent from downtown. He adds 4.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.
