Fourth-Ranked Red Rocks Dispatch Huskies On McCallum’s Career Night

SALT LAKE CITY – Red Rock freshman Grace McCallum scored a career-best 39.775 all-around score as the Red Rocks improved to 9-1 on 2022.
The University of Washington (1-3, 4-5) hosted the Red Rocks (4-1, 8-1) at Alaska Airlines Arena in Seattle, WA on Monday, February 21.
First Rotation
The Red Rocks began the match on bars while Washington started on the vault. Amelie Morgan and Grace McCallum set an early tone for the night, each scoring 9.90. Cristal Isa posted a 9.875.
For Washington, Geneva Thompson scored a team-high 9.925. Lana Navarro turned in a 9.900 and Amara Cunningham scored 9.875.
The Red Rocks held a 49.350-49.325 advantage after the first rotation.

Second Rotation
The Red Rocks moved over to vault, while the Huskies were on bars. A career high 9.950 score from Alexia Burch and Grace McCallum helped the Red Rocks maintain their lead. Lucy Stanhope also contributed a 9.875.
Thompson’s 9.925 led Washington once again while Morgan Bowles and Skylar Killough-Wilhelm each scored 9.875.
Utah held a 98.750-98.650 lead at the midway point.

Third Rotation
Utah went to the floor, with Washington on the beam.
Sydney Solaski just missed out on a perfect 10, instead settling for a career-high matching 9.975. McCallum and Stanhope gave the Red Rocks 9.950 scores and Abby Paulson & Adrienne Randall each scored 9.900.
Killough-Wilhelm’s 9.925 led Washington. Brenna Brooks also scored 9.900
The Red Rocks maintained a 148-350-147.850 lead through three rotations.

Fourth Rotation
The Red Rocks finished their night on beam with the Huskies on floor.
McCallum career-high 9.975 routine gave way to Morgan and Adrienne Randall, who each scored 9.950 on the beam.
Washington got 9.900 floor routines from Ashley Blum and Killough-Wilhelm.
