Cristal Isa’s Perfect 10 Leads Red Rocks To Bounce Back Win Over Oregon State

SALT LAKE CITY – The fourth ranked Utah Red Rocks had a season-high performance as they beat Oregon State 198.000-197.150 on Friday night.
Cristal Isa led the charge for the Red Rocks with a perfect 10 on the beam against Oregon State. It’s her first career perfect 10.
Jade Carey of Oregon State won the all-around title with a 39.700.
First Rotation
Utah started the meet on vault, with Oregon State on bars. Lucy Stanhope led the Red Rocks with a career-high-tying 9.95. Grace McCallum and Cammy Hall each posted a 9.850. Sage Thompson added a score of 9.775.
Jade Carey led Oregon State with a 9.950. Madi Dagen recorded a 9.825, while Carley Beeman had a 9.800.
The Red Rocks held a 49.225-49.000 lead heading into the second rotation.

Second Rotation
The Red Rocks moved over to bars, while the Beavers were on vault. Grace McCallum nearly had a perfect 10 but settled for a 9.950. Sage Thompson tied her career-high with a 9.925 performance. Maile O’Keefe ended with a 9.90.
Jade Carey was as close to a perfect 10 as you can get with a 9.975. Madi Dagen posted a 9.90, while Lauren Letzsch and Sydney Gonzales each recorded a 9.825.
Utah took a 98.725-98.325 lead at the midway point of the meet.

Third Rotation
Utah went to the beam, with Oregon State on the floor. Cristal Isa had a flawless beam performance with a perfect 10 that rocked the Huntsman Center. Abby Paulson had an outstanding routine, recording a score of 9.950. Also, Maile O’Keefe pulled a 9.950 as the anchor. Adrienne Randall finished with a 9.925.
Two Oregon State gymnasts finished with a 9.90 or better on the floor, including a 9.925 from Jade Carey. Madi Dagen added a 9.90.
The Red Rocks took a 148.450-147.725 lead entering the final rotation.

Fourth Rotation
Utah ended the meet on the floor, with Oregon State on the beam. Abby Paulson, Grace McCallum and Sydney Soloski all led the way with a score of 9.925. Jaedyn Rucker had a 9.90, along with a 9.875 from Lucy Stanhope.
Madi Dagen led Oregon State with a 9.950. Sydney Gonzales posted a 9.90, while Jenna Domingo had a 9.875.
Grace completes a great night in the all-around with a 9.925!

Utah improved their record to 8-1 overall and 4-1 in Pac-12 play. They will have a quick turnaround as they head to Seattle to face Washington on Monday, February 21 at 7 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Network.
