Jazz Forward Rudy Gay Rejects Shot By Pistons’ Cade Cunningham

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Rudy Gay swatted a shot attempt by Cade Cunningham during Utah’s game against the Detroit Pistons.
The Jazz hosted the Pistons at Vivint Arena on Friday, January 21.
With 3:41 to go in the third quarter, Cunningham drove towards the hoop before floating a four-foot attempt towards the basket.
Gay blocked the No. 1 overall pick’s shot to help Utah maintain a 78-74 lead.

At the end of the quarter, the Jazz owned an 87-82 advantage.
Through three quarters, Gay recorded four points on 1-3 shooting. He added four rebounds, three assists, and one block in 14 minutes off the bench.
This season, the UConn product is averaging 9.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.3 blocks, and 0.6 steals per game.
