Jazz Forward Malik Fitts Hits Half-Court Buzzer-Beater Against Raptors

SALT LAKE CITY – Jazz forward Malik Fitts connected on a half-court shot to beat the first quarter buzzer of Utah’s game against the Toronto Raptors.
The Raptors hosted the Jazz on Friday, January 7.
With 0.5 seconds left on the game clock, Danuel House Jr. tossed the ball to Fitts. The Saint Mary’s product unleashed a 49-foot attempt from the backcourt.
Fitts’ shot sailed through the cylinder as the buzzer sounded.

It was his first made shot as a member of the Jazz and only the second field goal of his NBA career.
The three-pointer gave the Jazz a 40-25 lead at the end of the opening quarter.

During the first 12 minutes of action, three points on 1-2 field goals, including 1-1 from distance.
This season, Fitts has averaged 0.5 rebounds in 2.3 minutes per contest in six games played.
