SALT LAKE CITY – The New Orleans Saints activated former BYU quarterback Taysom Hill and placed former Utah safety Marcus Williams on the team’s COVID-19/Reserve list.
The transactions took place on Wednesday, December 29.
Hill was added to the list on December 23 and missed New Orleans’ Week 16 20-3 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
Williams was placed on the Saints’ COVID-19/Reserve list in between Weeks 16-17.
Per agreed-upon NFL-NFLPA policy, clubs are not permitted to comment on a player’s medical status other than referring to roster status. Being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list is for a player who either tests positive for COVID-19 or who has been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
The Saints activated 12 players from the COVID-19 list, including QBs Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian plus LB Demario Davis.
The team placed S Marcus Williams on the COVID-19 list.
