SALT LAKE CITY – U.S. Women’s National Team head coach Vlatko Andonovski has named his 22 player squad that will travel to Australia for a pair of friendlies to conclude the 2021 international campaign and among the squad is former BYU star, Ashley Hatch.
The first match will take place at Stadium Australia in Sydney on Friday, November 26 at 9 p.m. on FS2 and the second will be at the McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Tuesday, November 30 at 2:05 a.m. on ESPN.
Hatch, 26, has only two caps to her name since making her debut in a friendly against Switzerland in 2016. Her second cap came in 2018 against Mexico. However, since then Hatch has not seen any attention from the national team, that is until now.
Hatch was most recently called up to the USWNT in November of 2020 for the USWNT’s training camp in the Netherlands.
Hatch is a finalist for the NWSL Most Valuable Player award following her Golden Boot winning season where she scored 10 goals in 20 appearances. She scored the game’s only goal for her club, the Washington Spirit, to secure a spot in the NWSL playoff semi-finals.
