SALT LAKE CITY – Former Utah Royals midfielder and current Paris Saint-Germain player Aminata Diallo has been arrested on suspicion of planning an attack on her teammate Kheira Hamraoui.
Last Thursday, Hamraoui was dragged from a car by two men wearing balaclavas and attacked following a club dinner in Paris. The two men hit Hamraoui on her legs for about two minutes, according to reports.
Earlier this morning following an extensive police report into the incident, Diallo was arrested and taken into custody in connection with the alleged attack.

Reports also suggest that Hamraoui was taken into hospital following the attack and required stitches on her legs. However, the injuries were not career-threatening and she made her 100th appearance for Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League against Real Madrid on Tuesday earlier this week. Diallo started the match while Hamraoui came in off the bench.
Both Diallo and Hamraoui are defensive midfielders and compete for playing time at the club and international level with the French national team.
Diallo joined the Utah Royals on loan from Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 and participated in the Challenge Cup and Fall Series where she saw four appearances and scored one goal for the NWSL side.
