PROVO, Utah – The annual BYU Athletics Trunk-or-Treat returned to its in-person format on Wednesday night. Last year due to COVID-19, the event that has become a fixture for Cougar fans since 2016 to interact with their favorite BYU student-athletes took place as a drive-through at the west parking lot near LaVell Edwards Stadium.

This year festivities returned to the Student Athlete Building parking lot. Athletes throughout the BYU athletic department, including the nationally-ranked football team, dressed up in Halloween costumes and passed out buckets full of candy to adoring fans.
The line for the event extended from the SAB down to Cougar Blvd. But when fans entered the Trunk or Treat area, they were greeted by BYU starting QB Jaren Hall.

Hall was with his wife, Breanna, and daughter Jayda. The sophomore signal-caller was wearing a Safari outfit.
BYU head coach Kalani Sitake arrived a little later as he was in the SAB breaking down Virginia film. In years past, he dressed up as Milli Vanilli or DJ Khaled. No costume this year for the sixth-year headman, but he did take time to take pictures and sign autographs with the BYU fans who attended the event.

Other teams at the Trunk-or-Treat included 7th ranked women’s volleyball, women’s soccer, baseball, men’s volleyball, and others. The BYU men’s basketball team also made an appearance early in the event. BYU Women’s Basketball was there as well.
