SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Kiki Feliciano is just 14-years-old and already defeated cancer once.
On September 2 she went in for her annual scan and sadly two more spots were found on the same lung that caused her issues 19 months ago.
Feliciano is the daughter of lifelong Real Salt Lake fans. Her parents, JP and Ashly, have been going to Real Salt Lake games since the club came to Utah and this Saturday the Riot Brigade will be hosting a tailgate party in an effort to support the Feliciano’s. They have been proud members of the Riot Brigade, a supporters group that can be seen in the south stands of every Real Salt Lake home match at Rio Tinto Stadium.
On Saturday, October 30, the tailgate will begin at 10 a.m. in the north lot towards the back of the lot by the stairs that go towards Rio Tinto Stadium. The Tailgate will be on the grass area and the Riot Brigade will provide brunch, drinks, a donation jar, and a raffle with prizes that include signed merch by players. Everyone is welcome to attend the tailgate and obviously, all donations are welcome as Kiki fights her second battle with cancer.
Kiki is fighting cancer by the name of Synovial Sarcoma, a very rare cancer. She will have six to seven rounds of chemotherapy every three weeks and will be required to stay a minimum of three days in the hospital following every bout. Due to the chemotherapy, Kiki will also become infertile. Her parents are hoping to harvest her eggs but because insurance does not cover this expense, the family will need to spend $55,000 to make it all possible.
We'll see you there 💛 https://t.co/wLFqvTAVa2

Furthermore, Real Salt Lake is supporting Kiki’s battle by sharing the post regarding the upcoming tailgate this Saturday with the hashtag KikiStrong.
T-shirts and hoodies with the hashtag KikiStrong printed on the front are also available to be purchased through the Riot Brigade’s Facebook page. All proceeds will be donated to the Feliciano family as they continue to pay for the medical expenses of the treatments.
A popular Utah football tailgate group, the Utah Pig Bus, will also hold a tailgate for Kiki prior to the Utah Utes versus UCLA Football game slated for Saturday, October 30 with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m.
