Real Salt Lake Drops Road Match To Chicago Fire FC

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After winning the Rocky Mountain Cup a week ago, Real Salt Lake suffered a road loss to Eastern Conference foe Chicago Fire FC.
Chicago hosted RSL at Soldier Field on Saturday, October 23.
The Fire beat Real Salt Lake, 1-0.

RSL fell in the match after struggling for most of the first half and allowed Robert Beric to score the contest’s only goal before halftime during the 45th minute of action.

Despite owning the time of possession, RSL was outshot by Chicago.
The Fire controlled the ball only 48 percent of the time but had 25 shots compared to RSL’s 16.
The home club also had 10 shots on goal while Real Salt Lake only had five attempts on target.
