Utes Pound Run Game On TD Drive To Start Game Against Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Utah Utes pounded the rock and found the end zone on their first possession against the Oregon State Beavers.
The Beavers hosted the Utes at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon on Saturday, October 23.
Utah started with the ball on offense and went to work with the running game.
The Utes called five plays for 37 yards on the ground on the opening drive.
Utah quarterback Cam Rising capped off the drive by finding Micah Bernard out of the backfield for a 14-yard touchdown.

The score gave the Utes an early 7-0 lead with 12:02 remaining in the first quarter.
It was Bernard’s second touchdown of the season and the first touchdown catch of his college career.

He entered the game with 47 carries for 265 yards and one touchdown on the ground this season. Bernard also had 12 catches for 89 yards.
Utah’s game against Oregon State is broadcast on the Pac-12 Network and 700 AM.
